WISTEM of Findlay is a 501(c)(7) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing women in STEM with networking, support, encouragement, and outreach opportunities.
WISTEM is committed to equipping women in STEM to:

History
Founded in 2021, WISTEM of Findlay began as a small group of professionals seeking connection in a male-dominated industry. Today, we continue to grow into a vibrant community of engineers, scientists, technologists, and mathematicians across Northwest Ohio.
2017
Original founders began discussions on forming or finding a supportive organization for women in STEM.
2018 – 2021
Operated as an affiliate chapter of the Association for Women in Science (AWIS), gaining valuable experience and insights.
Summer 2021
After thoughtful reflection on the chapter’s evolving goals and needs, the decision was made to establish an independent organization.
Fall 2021
Launched Findlay Women in STEM (WISTEM), tailored to the unique vision and community of its founders.
